Sorry Bamba Mopti, Mali
Sorry Bamba is a pivotal figure in the history of Malian music through his work with Regional Orchestra of Mopti and Kanaga Orchestra of Mopti. Sorry's groups competed in six National Biennials, taking home the grand prize in 1976, 1978 and 1980.

I haven't heard anything as just completely perfectly formed out of the gate--every decision the right one, what to include but more what to exclude--maybe ever. Don't know who Sault is, but they do not sound like they could be anyone who hasn't paid some dues to get this good. Or signed some Satanic contracts. 100% confidence, and it sounds 110% earned.

The obsessive searching (in all the best ways) and crate digging pay off once again for the Analog Africa crew! This compilation is a veritable gold mine of crazy good funky riffs with horns aplenty. As with most AA offerings, the music appears to originate from various sources and time periods but the underlying quality of all the tracks is undeniable. Drop the needle and get ready to be enthralled!!
